Pick where you sell today. We keep your ticket price as it is and count what you and your fans pay in fees, there and on Strobo.
3.7% + $1.79 per ticket and 2.9% of the order, paid by buyers by default. Source, read 2 Oct 2026.
Commission plus any booking fee the fan pays.
At the same ticket price, you and your fans pay
$23,155
less in fees a year than on Eventbrite
One ticket at $25
You get $25.00Platform fees $3.52
You get $24.65Stripe's fee $1.05
Stripe's standard rate here is 2.9% + $0.30 of the whole payment. Over a year that is $3,315 more than the buyer's service fee brings in; the difference comes out of your payout and is already counted above.
Your ticket price stays as it is. On Strobo the fan pays it plus the service fee, 1.6% + $0.30, and nothing else. We add up the fees on a year of tickets, whoever pays them: on the platform you pick, its fees; on Strobo, the service fee. Your plan is not a fee on the ticket: the per-ticket row counts the whole ticket price on your side, and the plan comes off the yearly figures. We count the plan as you pay for it: for the year at once, at its annual price (ten months' money for twelve). It is the cheapest Strobo plan for your volume over the year, including $0.30 per ticket above a plan's limit, charged each month, when that beats moving up. Stripe's standard rate here is above the service fee's 1.6%, so part of Stripe's fee comes out of your payout; that part is counted on your side. The fee's fixed part is charged once per order; we count it on every ticket, as if every order had one ticket, and we leave out a platform's own per-order charges, so our side is not understated. A platform's fees are counted as its note above says; a fee you pay is counted without VAT. Negotiated rates are not public and not counted. Each platform's source and the date we read it are on the methodology page.
Where you pay the platform's fees today, we count Strobo the same way: the event is sold without the service fee, the fan pays the ticket price, and your payout is the ticket price minus fees, counted at the standard rate in your market.
Strobo sells through Stripe Connect with direct charges. Each payment is created on your own Stripe account at the moment of sale, and Stripe pays it out to your bank on your account's schedule. There is no Strobo payout date, because there is nothing for us to pay out.
Example: the order above
Charges are created on your Stripe account. Strobo can't withdraw or hold that money.
Payouts follow your Stripe account's schedule, not the date of your event. Connect Stripe early: a new account's first payout takes 7 to 14 days.
Checkout shows buyers the name that will appear on their statement, the one on your Stripe account. A charge people recognize is less likely to be disputed.
Everything between the announcement and the last scan. No spreadsheet for the guest list, no separate door app, no link shortener to see which post sold.

Early bird, first release, general admission. Each tier gets its own price, quantity and sales window.
Cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay, plus BLIK in Poland. Tickets arrive by email. No app, no fan account.
Every event gets links for Instagram, TikTok, email and a flyer QR. Add one for each promoter and DJ and see orders and revenue per link.
Your Meta, TikTok and Google Analytics 4 IDs on your event pages, loaded only after the visitor agrees to cookies. Switched on per organization, on request.
Write to your followers or to one event's ticket holders. Every email carries a one-click unsubscribe.
Runs in the phone's browser and keeps scanning without signal. Door staff get a PIN and the scanner, never your money or orders.
Paste names from WhatsApp or a spreadsheet. Door staff search the list in the scanner, one tab over.
Free tickets for press, artist guests and the venue. They scan like any ticket and never count as revenue.
Every buyer and follower in one list, with marketing consent recorded. Export to CSV whenever you want.
When a show sells out, fans queue on the event page. When you refund a ticket, the next in line gets 24 hours to buy it.
A fan who can't make it passes the ticket on once. The old QR code stops working the moment they do.
Commission platforms charge a fee on every ticket, usually a percentage plus a fixed amount. Here is what changes with a monthly plan.
"Commission ticketing" describes the per-ticket fee model in general, not any one company.

I spent years on the promoter's side of the door, booking artists, paying deposits and counting the room at 2 a.m.
Strobo is the ticketing I wanted back then. A monthly price instead of a cut of every ticket. Payments in my own account, with no platform in the middle. And a list of the people who came, so the next night is easier to sell.

Before Strobo

Strobo (strobo.events) is a ticketing platform for live music: concerts, club nights, tours and festivals. Organizers pay a monthly plan from $0 and Strobo takes 0% of the ticket price. Each payment is created on the organizer's own Stripe account.
Strobo is free for one event at a time, with up to 200 tickets. Paid plans cost $59, $119 or $229 a month and include 1,000, 4,000 or 10,000 tickets. Annual billing gives you two months free, and above a paid plan's limit each extra ticket costs $0.30.
No. Strobo takes 0% of the ticket price on every plan, Free included. We earn the monthly plan fee. The only per-ticket charge is $0.30 for each ticket above a paid plan's monthly limit, billed to you and never taken out of ticket sales.
One service fee: 1.6% + $0.30 per order in US dollars, paid to the organizer. Strobo takes no commission and keeps none of the fee. Stripe's fee comes out of your payout; its standard US rate is 2.9% + 30¢.
Stripe takes its fee from each payment on your Stripe account, as it does for any Stripe merchant. The buyer's service fee is paid into your account together with the ticket price, and Strobo keeps none of it. Stripe's fee comes out of your payout. It depends on the card and the country: premium and foreign cards cost more, and in the US Stripe's standard rate is 2.9% + 30¢.
Each payment is created on your own Stripe account at the moment of sale, so Strobo never holds your ticket money. Stripe pays it out to your bank on your account's payout schedule. Stripe's first payout on a new account takes 7 to 14 days, so connect Stripe well before your on-sale.
Eventbrite, DICE and Resident Advisor charge a fee on every ticket, whether the promoter or the fan pays it. Strobo charges a monthly plan and takes 0% of the ticket price, creates each payment on your own Stripe account, and gives you your full buyer list to export. Your event page shows your event and nothing else.
One live event at a time with up to 200 tickets, cards and wallets at checkout, and the offline door scanner. No card needed. Once your event has taken place you can publish the next one, and drafts are unlimited. Sales never stop in the middle of a drop, and Free never runs up a bill.
Yes. You connect one during setup, which takes a couple of minutes. Stripe verifies your details before you can take payments, processes each payment on your account and pays out to your bank.
You refund orders from the order page in Strobo. The payment was made on your Stripe account, so the refund comes out of your Stripe balance and goes back to the buyer's payment method. If the event is sold out, the returned ticket is offered to the next fan on the waitlist.
You control it. Every buyer and follower lands in your People list with their marketing consent recorded, and you can export it as a CSV file at any time. Under GDPR you are the controller of that list and Strobo acts as your processor. We don't sell personal data or use it for advertising.
Door staff open your event's door link on their phone and enter a PIN you issue. The QR scanner runs in the browser with nothing to install, and it keeps working without signal: scans sync when the phone reconnects. Staff see the scanner and the guest list, never money or orders.
